Definition :

A composite material is consited by the assembly of two differents materials.

It is made up :

The reinforcement : Brace, skeleton, it ensures the mechanical resistance (tensile strengh and rigidity) . It’s a filament nature (organic or inorganic).

They are continuous fibre arrangements or not

The matrix : It preserves the provision of fibres and transmits ther requests to them to which is subjected, distributed the efforts (compressive strength or the inflection), ensures chemical protection. On type of profile for one type of application.

The advantages :

- No corrosion

- Good behaviour with chemical agents

- To resist fire

- Modulable

- Weak density

- Good insulator
